Pilgrim Hotel

As expected the Hotel has lots of charm with easy access to the centre of Canterbury; the room was clean with a comfortable bed; I had a nice Continental breakfast all in all meet all expectations for what I required for a short stay in Canterbury

−Even though it is a pedestrian precinct the Uber bikes were constantly driving up and down outside late into the night which made the room very noisy during the night / early hours of the mornng - Might be considering secondary glazing to reduce the external noise form the busy High St; plus some air conditioning in respect of the predicted climate change and warmer summer months.

Breakfast is plentiful and good, but I knocked off one point because it is Continental, not English fried. Having said that, I wouldn't really expect a Full English for the price I paid, and obviously, many guests come over from France - and they wouldn't want it anyway.

−Nothing to complain about. I paid for a single room, and I didn't expect it to be vast!

Read was full English , but didn’t realise that was 5 years ago ☹️continental was very ordinary , not really worth visiting

−Told could park for 10 minutes to drop off luggage found out it’s a pedestrian zone 10 in morning until 4 when I rang reception told probably let you in , he was wrong, very steep stairs to room , not suitable for anyone not fit , saniflow toilet very noisy , no plug for sink, shower missing only rain shower part there , safe locked so couldn’t use , did ask someone to sort it ,never happened I think it needs to make more effort to make viable, will not be going back
